J. Hobie Murnane, MBA, CLU, took a long and winding path to The McTigue Financial Group. Hobie has been a military leader, teacher, coach, Jesuit and counselor. Each experience has prepared him for success as a financial representative. Seeds for Murnane's success were planted during his military service more than 25 years ago. As a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy West Point and a captain in the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment in Fort Bliss, Texas, he was responsible for leading hundreds of people. What's the common thread among Murnane's experiences? "In each, I have been driven to be deeply and meaningfully involved in the lives of other people," he says.
Joe Albrecht was an Estate Planning Attorney for a small Chicago downtown law firm. He was spending too many hours working and wanted to start his own law practice. He planned to return to school and earn his master's of law in tax when he received a call from Deborah Holter, recruiter for the McTigue Financial District Network Office in Northbrook. Joe agreed to meet with her. As a client of The McTigue Financial Group, Joe loved working with his financial representative but really didn't know what he did. Joe figured networking with Deborah would be good for his future plans. After numerous conversations, Joe decided to give it a shot. He has been a financial representative since 2004.
Chad enjoyed the sales side for two years but wanted more of a challenge, so he became the managing broker and grew his office from 40 agents to 120 agents. This was challenging and rewarding, but he was missing the opportunity to truly impact people's lives. Corey McQuade, Chad’s twin brother and managing director to The McTigue Financial Group office in Oak Brook, originally introduced Chad to Northwestern Mutual as a client. When Corey realized Chad was looking for a career that was challenging, rewarding, flexible and impactful, he brought up the opportunity to start a career as a financial representative. After taking Corey’s advice, Chad now enjoys a rewarding career with The McTigue Financial Group. You can see this as he hit the greatest honor at Northwestern Mutual (NM) by making NM Forum status in his fourth year! This status is awarded to only 2-3% of all financial representatives in the nation.
Later that year he accepted an offer to return to Arlington Park International Racecourse, after completing a college internship in their marketing department as the Marketing Coordinator. While at Arlington Josh was responsible for marketing and promotional operations, daily/weekly themed days, private outings and special events. Following a successful racing season, Josh decided to migrate towards an area of the sports industry that involved his true love---golf. As Ticket Sales Manager for the Western Golf Association, hosts of the PGA tour’s third oldest active tournament, Josh organized ticket sales initiatives and developed a non-profit fundraising strategy called Birdies for Charity. With a background rooted in sales and customer service Josh switched gears in November of 2005, becoming a Financial Representative with GCG Financial and later transitioning his business to become part of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network.
However, Sara desired the opportunity to be directly involved in assisting people to attain financial well-being and form long-term relationships, just as her own representative had done for her and her husband. In 2008, she was able to make this desire true by becoming a financial representative with The McTigue Financial Group. In these evolving financial times, Sara believes working with individuals and businesses to implement meaningful solutions to achieve financial security is the greatest reward of all! John Baker In 2008, John was able to capitalize on that foundation when he began his practice as a Financial Representative with The McTigue Financial Group. John wanted the opportunity to build stronger relationships with his clients, and to play a role in their lives where he could have a strong and positive impact on their futures. John Baker’s goal with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network is to build a practice where he can work to provide sound financial solutions to his clients while continuing to reach out to other people in the Chicago area. John considers himself fortunate to have this opportunity and works to make the very most of every day that he and his clients are given.
For years, Pete’s agent had asked him to look at the career and opportunities within NM. After a pay structure change at his logistics firm and since a growing family, Pete decided it was time to look at other careers. What he found at The McTigue Financial Group was an opportunity to build a business and have a positive impact on his community and clients. He could do this while creating a lifestyle for his family that was more in lines with his and his wife’s personal vision. In describing this realization Pete says, “In logistics management it was great to help a corporation save money or to make sure a product showed up at a store on time, but it nowhere near compares to knowing that as a Financial Representative I have the ability to protect my clients from the pitfalls of life as well as help them plan for their own family’s dreams and goals”. |
