James Vande Logt began his career as an intern with The McTigue Financial Group while a student at Loyola University in Chicago. He earned a Bachelor's Degree of Business Administration, double majoring in Marketing and Human Resources. Those two components of his educational background helped James gain an appreciation and an understanding of the market that makes him a valuable resource to my clients.
Read James' comments regarding his internship experience:
"What can I say about my experience as an intern for The Northwestern Mutual Financial Network? Let´s just say that my job didn't involve making photocopies or fetching coffee for some big shot. In fact it´s quite the opposite. There are two types of jobs out there, you either work for someone or you work for yourself. In my case, I worked for myself. I did exactly what every other full-fledged representative does throughout this company, which means I helped people. What can provide a better feeling than building enduring relationships with new people that respect you not only as a professional, but a friend as well?"
"As an intern, I had a tremendous amount of responsibility placed on my shoulders. I ran everything in my practice, from making phone calls, scheduling meetings, creating analysis´ for individuals and businesses, and I even did my own photocopying by the way."
"The final point I´d like to make with this job relates to the people I work beside. Here is a place where I can and will develop lifelong relationships. I have never had a job where I like everyone that I work with. Every person here will go out of his or her way in order to help you succeed. It is amazing the amount of time senior representatives are willing to spend with the younger members. They counsel us, providing invaluable advice on how to be a better representative as well as a better friend to your clients, and that is really what this is all about, becoming a trusted friend and professional to many people for a long, long time."
