A 1995 graduate of Notre Dame University, Mike Shean was introduced to the financial representative career by his father, Bill Shean, who is also a representative with The McTigue Financial Group.
Mike's secret to success with clients is the fact that he is more willing to always look for what is right for the client. Mike feels the favor is returned in the form of more referrals.
He is proud of the fact that he sells life insurance. "It's an injustice to our clients not to offer insurance products." Mike enjoys making a difference in people’s lives.
Mike says the McTigue Financial Group "provides a strong sense of family with sibling rivalry at it's very best. It's a healthy competition. We're all driven to succeed."
He has earned numerous awards throughout his career, including the National Quality Award (2000, 2004-2005) and Million Dollar Round Table Qualifying Member (2003). But Mike says the award he's most proud of is "Best Dad Lives at My House."
Mike serves on the Auxiliary Board of Lincoln Park Zoo and finds it to be a great networking opportunity. A side benefit of his participation is that Mike has found it to be a good lead generator and great investment for The McTigue Financial Group in terms of corporate sponsorship.
He volunteers with the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Foundation that provides scholarships for inner city 8th graders to attend a private high school. He is also involved in the Evans Scholar program.
Mike is married and is the father of two boys. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf.
