Originally from Minneapolis, MN, Ross Kasner attended high school at Evanston Township and then studied Economics at the University of WisconsinMadison earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business.
He has been a financial representative with The McTigue Financial Group since 1989. Ross works extensively with consultants, corporate executives, traders and business owners. A typical client is 36-66 years old, has children, loves his/her family, is fun to be around and is financially successful. Most of his clients live in the city, in the north, northwest and western suburbs.
Ross holds his clients accountable in a way that facilities action. It is what he believes has made the difference in the financial security of his clients. His goal is to help his clients achieve a higher quality of life. It's important for his clients to articulate what they value and it's his role to define financial solutions that are in line with these values.
His work is his passion, but he is motivated by a desire to be with his family.
We perform to the level of our beliefs," says Ross and it explains clearly and simply why some people succeedin any professionand why others do not. Discipline, obedience to systems, networking, marketing and prospectingall matter greatly. But in the end, beliefs decide how far each person goes.
"As I've grown, I have deepened my conviction about what I do for people. Most people need financial professionals to assist them in identifying goals and helping them to develop solutions. As I've gained experience and maturity, I have also greatly expanded what I believe I can accomplish. My career is a reflection of my expanding belief in myself."
"If I were to talk to a young representative who is struggling with conviction, belief and confidence, I would say the issues he's wrestling with are his ownnot the career's. If he were to try a new career, he would have the same issues there. You never have anyone but yourself holding you back."
Ross resides on a quiet cul-de-sac in Lincolnshire with his wife Jill, his son Alec and dogs Clutch and Hazel. Ross devotes his free time to his family. When they "get tired" of Ross, he spends time staying in shape so that he can race shifter karts competitively. They enjoy going out to movies and spending time with their son. Ross also coaches various sporting activities.
