Daniel Gould, ClU, ChFC, CFP® learned early in life the positive aspects of being self-employed. As a college student at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, he operated a successful and growing coffee and cookie shop. It was his entrepreneurial spirit that set him on a fast-track career at The McTigue Financial Group.
No stranger to hard work, Dan has built a successful career by establishing and accomplishing strategic business goals. Over the course of his 15-year career, Gould has attained numerous coveted career milestones for sales and service achievement, including the National Sales Achievement Award (1994-2004, 2005, 2007) and the National Quality Award (1994-1996, 2000-2007). He has been a Forum member each year since the award was developed (1998-2006).
Dan attributes his success to specializing in a market. "The power of referral within a market is incredible. I almost quit 12 times in my first two years. Then I specialized in the physicians market, and now I understand what physicians need and expect."
In 15 years, Dan has delivered on multiple policies, each contributing to his passion for selling the right mix of insurance, and most importantly, the right amount. "A check can't replace what was lost. But providing the financial basis that can help keep families together is my strongest motivator."
"We can't control what clients do but we've done our job if we can say we're proud of our efforts for every client."
Dan's career philosophy is simple. "You can measure your success based on your own personal definition, not someone else’s. Furthermore you achieve financial independence from a rewarding career that offers flexibility for family, friends and leisure-time activities."
Dan lives in Northbrook with his wife, Amy and daughters, Hannah and Sophie. He enjoys spending time with his family, visiting his cabin in Northern Wisconsin, playing golf and cards.
