Corey McQuade received a Community Service Award for his work with the Near West Little League, a non-profit and volunteer organization that provides the joy of baseball to less fortunate children in Chicago. Corey has coached hundreds of inner city kids providing them with the same opportunity to play ball as he did. He started with some of his boys when they were 9 and 10 and now sees them in high school where he continues to mentor them. With unlimited kids wanting to play the game, Corey has dedicated himself to expanding the limited number of coaches available. He has personally recruited over 40 coaches during his five years with the program.
Corey McQuade is one small part of the largest inner city league in the nation, but to many he is the largest part of their lives. |
